"Traditionally we have made control jigs at high cost with low flexibility, normally one fixture for each detail. In this case we used only simple fixtures, six unibrain firewire cameras, Scorpion Vision Software and four four control profiles – one for each product.
I did not believe it when Per from Tordivel hooked on six cameras in 30 minutes to Scorpion and directly captured the images needed. I had made a bet with my son that the system should function. And I won the bet." says Hans Rasmusson.

Low cost - High Resolution USB 2.0 Camera Support
We have tested the new Electrim EDC-3000A and EDC-3000B with Scorpion's standard DirectX driver and works right of the box. We used the camera drivers supplied with Windows XP.
The high resolution, 1280x1024, cmos cameras EDC-3000A/B have an end user price of 390 USD.

Scorpion Starter Kit - the perfect introduction for making your
own Vision solutions.
The kit includes a Scorpion Enterprise software
license and a 2 days training course where you learn how to use Scorpion
Vision Software®.
Due to the easy to use imaging tools and the
standard but configurable user interface, the course participants are
able to configure their own applications, and establish communication
links to control systems.
Bring your own notebook and you will have a
Vision system running during the course that can later be configured to a
real application.
No programming skills are required, but general
engineering knowledge about light and lenses including some practice with
other engineering software like AutoCad or others, may ease the start up
phase.
